The Modern Colonial
A traditional exterior wrapped around a thoroughly modern interior.
About this project.
The brief here was a house that would read as native to the street from the kerb and feel completely current once you were inside it. The exterior keeps a symmetrical colonial massing; the interior does not reference it at all.
The kitchen is built around a calacatta waterfall island with brass pendants and hardware carried through to the baths. Custom walnut library shelving was shop-drawn against the framed openings rather than ordered to nominal sizes.
Exterior living was treated as part of the build. The covered deck, railings and rear grounds were completed by our own crews alongside the interior trim package.
